Freestone County Office of Emergency Management: It’s Only a TEST

In accordance with Chapter 418.043 of the Texas Government Code, the Texas Division of Emergency Management has requested that a TEST of our emergency notification systems be utilized on Thursday, April 2, 2026, between 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Freestone County will be conducting a countywide TEST of its Emergency Notification System at that time.

During this testing period, residents may experience outdoor warning sirens sounding, emergency alert messages, and/or test notifications sent to phones or other alert systems.

THIS IS ONLY A TEST!

Do NOT call 911 during the test unless you have a REAL emergency.

The TEST is being conducted to ensure the system functions properly and to help improve emergency communications for our community.
