If you’ve got a competitive edge, be sure to mark your calendars for the ultimate Freestone County contest – the 2026 Home & Garden Show at the world’s best County Fair!
Only three months away, this annual competition includes seven fantastic divisions:
–Art: Drawings, Acrylic Paintings, Oil Painting, Watercolor Painting, Sculpture and 3-D, Digital Design and Computer Generated
–Baked Goods: Breads, Cookies, Brownies, Bar Cookies, Cakes, Decorated Cakes, Candies, and Pies
–Food Preservation: Fruit, Vegetables, Jellies, Jams & Preserves, Pickles, Other Pickled Vegetables, Sauces and Relish (Corn, Pepper, etc.)
–Horticulture: Potted Plants, Fresh Cut Arrangements, Home Grown Flowers, Home Grown Vegetables, Herbs and Fruits, Fruit and Vegetable Creatures, Honey, Homemade Remedy
–Crafts: Decorative, Functional, Paper, Fashion, Sewing, Needlework, Toys, Silk Arrangements
–Photography: Animals/Wildlife, People/Portraits, Flowers/Landscapes, Still Life, Black & White, Sports
–Quilts: Wall Hangings 45” x 45” or smaller, Quilted Items (totes, runners, etc.), Hand Quilted Quilts, Machine Quilted Quilt, Go Texan Quilt
A fee of $4 for the first entry, and $1 for each entry after, per person is due at check-in on Monday, June 15, 2026 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Fairfield Civic Center (Green Barn).
Judging will commence later that day and Best of Show winners announced on Tuesday.
All entries will be on display during County Fair week, June 15-20, 2026.
This year, if you would like to sell your item, simply leave a price sheet to be displayed.
Note: Transactions will be between the creator and the buyer. Freestone County Fair Association can NOT help with transactions.
