We need to talk about vehicle burglaries in the Teague area. They’re preventable, they’re frustrating, and they’re happening more often than they should. So, here’s your friendly reminder from the Teague Police Department:
Most burglars aren’t criminal masterminds. They’re more like raccoons—if it’s shiny and easy to grab, they’re going for it.
Help us make their job harder:
–Lock your vehicle every time. Yes, even when you “just ran inside for a second.”
–Hide or remove valuables. If it looks expensive, interesting, or even mysterious, they’ll check it out.
–Don’t leave keys or key fobs inside. That’s basically handing out a “free test drive” voucher.
–Park in well‑lit areas when possible. Burglars dislike light almost as much as they dislike locked doors.
–Report suspicious activity so we can respond quickly.
A locked, empty vehicle isn’t fun for thieves—and that’s exactly the goal.
Help us keep Teague safe, one click of a door lock at a time.
