Get Ready to ‘Jingle All The Way’ on Dec. 20th!

 

‘Christmas On The Square’ was celebrated this past weekend in downtown Fairfield.

Following a special reading of the Christmas Story by First UMC Pastor Mike McVey, the ‘Super Hero’ parade kicked off this rest of the festivities.

Congrats to the following winner parade float entries:

–First Place – Fairfield ISD Gifted and Talented Students

–Second Place – Double G Towing

–Third Place – First Baptist Church – Fairfield

This year’s attendees enjoyed food, games, crafts, face painting, and balloon artist. The popular Petting Zoo was provided by River of Life FWC.

Kids took the opportunity to have a private conversation with Santa Claus, and the crowd enjoyed some musical entertainment.

Fairfield Mayor Bobby Nichols manned the official lighting of the Christmas Tree, followed by the Christmas Drama Performance by member of River of Life.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 20th for Jingle All The Way on the courthouse lawn from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

There will be Ice Slides, Food, Face Painting, Games, Balloon Artist, Crafts, Santa & much more.

Also, the ultimate winner of the ‘Christmas on Commerce’ Holiday Giveaway will be announced at 3:00 p.m.

Over $5,000 in prizes have been collected by local retailers.

Both events are presented by the City of Fairfield and the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center.
