The filing period for the upcoming 2026 Republican and Democratic Primary Elections is closing THIS Monday, December 8, 2025. Be sure to get your name on the ballot if you want a chance to serve your County.

Election Day is scheduled for Tuesday, March 3, 2026, with Early Voting running Tuesday, February 17 through Friday, February 27, 2026.
State offices that will appear on the ballot in Texas include U.S. Senator (Cornyn), all 38 U.S. Representatives, Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Comptroller of Public Accounts, Commissioner of General Land Office, Commissioner of Agriculture, Railroad Commissioner, Four Members of the Supreme Court, Three Members of the Court of Criminal Appeals, Three Members of the 15th Court of Appeals, Eight Members of the State Board of Education, 16 State Senators, all 150 State Representatives, and Seven Chief Justice of Courts of Appeals.

Running are: Pct. 2 – Linda Sanford, Pct. 5 – Elizabeth Ferrari, Pct. 6 – Julianne Watkins, Pct. 13 – Gwendolyn Vandermartin.

The Republican Party Chair position is also up for election and Incumbent Keith Turchi has filed for reelection. Also seeking the position is candidate Linda Weldon.

If you are not yet registered to vote, be sure to do so before the February 2, 2026, deadline to be eligible to vote in the 2026 Primary Election.
