The Wortham Bulldogs offense was stymied by a tenacious Chilton defense, and the Pirates claimed a 63-0 district win Friday night. The Bulldogs drop to 1-8 on the season with the single win in district play and face the Hubbard Jaguars at home Friday night to complete the season.

The Bulldogs went three and out and were forced to punt on the last play of the first quarter. Jamarion Clark scooped up the short punt and raced 72 yards to finish the time on the clock and end the first quarter, scoring at 28-0.
The Bulldogs picked up another first down on the ensuing drive with a Montgomery pass to Tyler Langley for 21 yards. Chilton went to the run game and kept the drive on the ground, ending with a 40-yard touchdown run by Dha’ Corian Evans and the 35-0 lead.
Thomas added a 47-yard touchdown run before the end of the first half and the teams went to a continuous running clock in the second half. In the rapidly moving final two frames, Taylor scored on a three-yard run and Jaylen Dorsey had a 17-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter and Semaj Evans finished the scoring 45-yard score to close out the scoring.
