FMC Assists Patients in Transferring to Another Provider
“As of Monday, October 6, 2025, Micheal Jenks, MD, is no longer with Freestone Medical Center,” explained Melissa Wilson, CEO of FMC.
According to Melissa, Dr. Jenks was terminated for cause but was unable to provide any more information about the reason for termination.
Dr. Jenks was a provider serving both the Fairfield and Buffalo clinic locations. His patients’ visits will be covered by current providers for the time being, and they will be given the option to be transferred to another provider within the system, or if they prefer, to go elsewhere. They will be able to request a copy of their medical records to take to a new provider if they choose.
“We have many very skilled practitioners in both clinics that are ready and willing to serve Dr. Jenk’s patients,” stated Melissa. “And letters have been sent to his patients, either via the patient portal or by mail, informing them of the change and their options.”
Plans are to fill the vacancy as soon as possible.
