For the second year in a row, the Veterans Remembrance Park Teague (VRPT) will participate with Wreaths Across America, a non-profit organization. Their year-long mission is Remember the Fallen; Honor those who serve; and Teach our youth the sacrifices made for our freedoms.
In 2024, over three million sponsored veterans’ wreaths were placed by volunteers on headstones at 4,909 participating locations worldwide.
Wreaths Across America volunteers tirelessly work year-round to Remember, Honor, and Teach, with each name spoken out loud in grateful acknowledgment of the sacrifices made by our veterans for our freedoms.
This year, the VRPT offers new opportunity for wreaths to be sponsored for veterans buried in non-registered sites. The wreath is sponsored through the VRPT site. The cost of the wreath is $17.00. The wreath will be shipped with the other VRPT wreaths, saving you shipping costs.
You will be able to attend the VRPT ceremony and pick up your wreath following the ceremony. You then can take the wreath to your veteran’s gravesite and place the wreath at a time you choose.
National Wreaths Across America Day will be held this year on Saturday, December 13, 2025. The ceremony at the Veterans Remembrance Park Teague will be at 10:00 am. This free event is open to all, and the organization encourages community members to participate by volunteering locally or sponsoring a wreath for an American hero.
To sponsor a wreath through the VRPT, please visit www.wreathsacrossameric.org/TX1128P. Click on “Sponsor a Wreath”; select the location- TX-VRPT and follow prompts. Select “grave specific” and enter your veterans’ name. The VRPT will be able to identify the wreath for your veteran.
