Freestone County Commissioners opened bids for the County Courthouse Restoration during their September 23, 2025, special called meeting.
Five Base Bids were received, each with contingency and additional projects costs to be added as needed. Bids included HCS – $6,300,000.00; RKJ Construction – $9,800,000.00; Pheonix One Restoration Construction – $10,294,000.00; Premier Commercial Group – $12,882,300.00; and Stoddard General Contractors – $9,980,000.00.
A committee was appointed to review bids to include Auditor, Judge, Judge’s Clerk, IT, and Commissioner Pct. 1. They will have two weeks to review bids, background, and experience of each company before a vote will be placed by Commissioners.

–Minutes from September 17, 2025, regular meeting
–Budget transfers and amendments
–Payroll
–Discretionary Exemption for purchase of Road Base materials in accordance to Local Government Code 262.024
–Bids for Road Base, Bulk Fuel, and Solid Waste
–Order setting annual salaries for County Auditor, Accounting Assistant I, First Assistant Auditor, and Second Assistant Auditor
–Contract and Agreement between Freestone County and Fairfield Library Association, Inc. for FY 2026
–Contract and Agreement between Freestone County and Teague Public Library for FY 2026
–Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between Limestone & Freestone County for housing and care of inmates
