A special Veterans Day edition is being planned by Freestone County Times for the month of November.
Readers are encouraged to submit pictures, with a short write-up, to honor veterans in their family.
Deadline is Friday, October 31st to guarantee publication.

Veterans Day is an official U.S. public holiday, observed on November 11th, that honors all military veterans, having served in the United States Armed Forces.
