The City of Streetman is proud to announce the appointment of Adam Minze as Mayor, completing the unexpired term of Mayor Robinson. With over 28 years of public service experience, Mayor Minze brings a wealth of leadership, government expertise, and community dedication to the role.
Mayor Minze expressed that this appointment is both an honor and an opportunity to evaluate the possibility of running for the position in the next election. “Finishing out Mayor Robinson’s term will give me the chance to learn, observe, and determine if I truly want to run when the time comes,” he said.
Key Challenges & Goals
Mayor Minze identified two major challenges facing Streetman:
– Restoring Public Trust: Many residents have expressed concerns about transparency and respect in City Hall operations.
– Improving the Water System: Upgrades and repairs are needed to ensure reliable service for the community.
“My primary goal is to listen to residents and operate a transparent City Hall,” said Mayor Minze. “When residents are heard and included in decision-making, we become a stronger community.”
The Mayor also emphasized his intent to modernize City Hall operations, ensuring compliance with current cybersecurity standards and improving efficiency.
Experience & Qualifications
Mayor Minze has served 28 years in law enforcement, including 22 years with the U.S. Department of Justice and U.S. Department of Homeland Security. His background includes:
– Managing Continuity of Government Plans during major disasters.
– Overseeing diverse workforces and multi-million-dollar budgets.
– Expertise in Equal Opportunity Employment and Labor Management Relations.
“My local, national, and international experience gives me the qualifications to effectively serve as Mayor,” he stated.
Community Roots
Born and raised in the area, Mayor Minze’s family has lived in Streetman since the early 1900s. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1988 and returned to Streetman after his federal service retirement in 2020.
He currently serves as Deputy Constable of Navarro County, assigned as Chief Environmental Investigator.
Mayor Minze has been married to his wife, Linda, for 25 years. Together they have four children and two grandchildren.

– Justices of the Peace and Constables Association

He plans to host a Town Hall Meeting in the coming weeks to gather resident feedback on city priorities. “I am committed to ensuring that City Hall operates with dignity, respect, and professionalism,” he affirmed.
