Fairfield’s EGGS-stravaganza blow-out will be this Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on the Freestone County Courthouse Square.
Sponsored by the folks of the City of Fairfield and Fairfield Chamber of Commerce, this annual event will include Egg Hunts, Arts & Crafts, a
Live Pony Carousel, a Cupcake Walk, Face Painting, Egg Dyeing, Live Bunny Giveaway, Cotton Candy, and visits with the Easter Bunny.
But that’s not all!

Running For The Paws – Color Run
Dust of those running shoes and start your weekend early with a not-quite 5K Color Run hosted by the folks at KNES Texas 99.1 FM on Saturday, April 19th.
Registration and check-in begin at 8:00 a.m. Race starts at 9:00 a.m. on the courthouse square.
Proceeds benefit LARAS House animal shelter.
Four-legged friends are welcome: Must be on a leash, well-behaved, and plays well with others

Lemonade Day Kick-Off
This year’s lemonade entrepreneurs are encouraged to drop off their entries for the Taste Testing Contest to the Chamber booth from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. this Saturday, April 19th at the Freestone County courthouse.
Stick around for pictures with Mayor Bobby Nichols. He will be signing a proclamation at 11:00 a.m. to declare Lemonade Day.
Fairfield’s Lemonade Day will be held the first Saturday in May.
More Easter Egg Hunts
River of Life Family Worship Center will host an Easter Exposition on Sunday, April 20th at the W.L. Moody Reunion Fairgrounds in Fairfield.
Worship service will begin at 11:00 a.m., lunch will follow.
Easter Egg Hunt for all ages will begin at 2:00 p.m.
There will also be a big 32-foot slide and bounce house, and door prizes.
Then, at 3:00 p.m. will be the Annual Egg Hunt at the Park, also on Sunday, April 20th at Fairfield City Park.
This community event is FREE and for all ages. Bring your basket!
There will be food, drinks, and live music.
