The Fairfield Lady Eagles wrapped up their seventh consecutive district title with a pair of wins early in the week. They move into a Monday night bi-district contest at Leon High School taking on the Franklin Lady Lions.
During the span of seven district titles, the Lady Eagles are 81-2 and finish the district season with a 69-game district winning streak. They last lost a district game in January of 2020.
They opened the week with a make-up game on Monday at Elkhart. The schools closed due to illness and postponed all games until Monday.
The Lady Eagles dominated the Lady Elks 59-23. Keke Alexander hit a pair of three pointers in the third period and Addison Posey hit two each in the second and fourth period and led the way with 12 points in the win on Monday.
Fairfield finished the regular season with a road trip to take on the Palestine Westwood Lady Panthers. The lady Eagles built a big lead and coasted to an 87-34 win. Fairfield led 40-17 at the half and had two periods with 28 points and the Lady Panthers could not keep that pace.

Blayke Brackens scored five in each of the first three periods and Jacelynn Schmidt had one of her best games as a Lady Eagle. She poured in 25 points, mostly from the paint, and led all scorers in the win. Kyla Huddleston scored 14 for Westwood.
The Lady Eagles travelled to Ponder to take on the Lady Lions in a warmup contest. Ponder scored 17 fourth quarter points and held the Lady Eagles to only one field goal in the period and 12 points in the second half to secure a 45-35 win. Schmidt scored all eight of her points in the first half and Williams was the only Lady Eagle to score in the final period with her three-pointer. Kennedy Simon scored 18 points and Presley Calhoun hit key free throws, going 8-8 in the second half in the win.

Fairfield remains as one of the favorites in Region III and the playoff begin Monday night in Leon.
Mexia will take on the Academy Lady Bees Monday night at University High School. Teague will battle the Rogers Lady Eagles in a bi-district matchup and Buffalo will take on Troy in their first-round playoff game.
