The filing period for candidates in the upcoming City Council and School Board elections is now, January 15, 2025, through 5:00 p.m. on February 14, 2025.
Election Day will be Saturday, May 3, 2025, with Early Voting beginning Tuesday, April 22nd.
Positions Up for Election
City Councilmen/Aldermen:
–Fairfield – Place 3 (Previously Bobby Nichols, currently vacant), Place 4 (Roger Keeton), and Place 5 (Angela Oglesbee).
–Teague – Place II (Jerry Ballew), Place IV (Bridget Gauntt) and Place V (Timmothy Campbell).
–Wortham – Mayor (Pellie Goolsby), 2 Council Members at Large (Scott Batts and Patrick Evans)
–Streetman – NO positions up for election this term. Elections are held only in even years.
School Districts (Board of Trustees)
–Fairfield – 3 Places At Large (Kim Whitaker, Penny Meredith, and Ashlee Daniel)
–Teague – Place 2 (Brian Bowers) and Place 4 (Jeff Gonzales)
–Wortham – Place 3 (Brent Jones) and Place 4 (Sam Wright)
–Dew – Dew ISD holds elections in November.
