The Fairfield Library is excited to announce their expansion of their Young Adult graphic novel/manga section!

Thanks to Jason Scott and NRG Energy Inc. for providing a $1,500 grant making this possible. NRG Environmental Supervisor, Jason Scott (left) presents a check to Fairfield Library staff members Kalyn Ethridge and Gary Wiggins.

The Friends of the Fairfield Library have begun creating a Festival of Trees for the children and families to enjoy inside the library during the Christmas Season.

This annual fundraiser runs from Thanksgiving through the first of the new year and consists of decorated tree sponsorships sold to businesses and individuals. Each decorated Christmas tree will have a sign placed by the tree showing the tree sponsor for the duration of the festival. Stop by the library and enjoy the beautifully decorated trees and consider sponsoring a tree by your business or family.

The Festival of Trees generated $1,950 in 2023, which was used to support the summer programs and to enhance technology at the library.
Angela Oglesbee, Friends of the Library Representative, says all sponsorships are appreciated and help the library with needed items or programs.

Weekly Storytime at the Library is on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.mm, with a craft and snacks following the reading.

A 3-D Printing class for students is held every Tuesday at 4:00 p.m., and a Chess Club on the first Tuesday of each month at 4:00 p.m. All ages are invited to come play or learn chess. All events at the Fairfield Library are always free to the community.

Santa Claus will arrive at the Library on Friday, December 20th at 5:30 p.m., for a special evening Storytime.

There will be an opportunity for photos with Santa, cookies and hot cocoa.

See you at the library!
