Saturday, October 26th

–Wortham’s First Baptist Church is hosting a Wortham Brickstreet Fall Festival from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Vendors open at 5:00 p.m. and kids activities start at 6:00 p.m.

–Teague’s annual Parkfest will include a 5K Run with a category for best Halloween Costume. Race begins at 8:00 a.m., cost is $15.

Stay for the day to enjoy food vendors, crafts, games and more. There will be a Car & Bike Show, BBQ Cookoff, and Corn Hole tournament (bags fly at noon).

At 11:00 a.m., kids 12 & under can participate in a Costume Contest (no running required), and there will be a Pet category.

Freestone County 4-H will host a Movie in the Park beginning at 7:00 p.m. Bring your lawn chair or a blanket to the Teague City Park to enjoy a film about everyone’s favorite friendly ghost.

–Teague Farmer’s Market invites the community to their Halloween Market on Main Street from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

In addition to the many local vendors and food trucks, there will also be open mic, karaoke, costume contest, and jack-o-lantern contest.

Sunday, October 27th

–Wortham residents: be aware that members of Wortham FFA will be going door-to-door to Trick-or-Treat for Canned Goods from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. to benefit Wortham Food Pantry. For info, contact Mrs. Bean or Mrs. Wilkins at 254-765-3094.
Wednesday, October 30th

–Fairfield’s Boo On The Square 2024 is scheduled from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. on the Freestone County Courthouse Square.

There will be face painting, games, and tons of candy for the kids, and The ‘Times’ will be on hand for costume photos again this year.

Don’t forget to visit First United Methodist Church’s Truck or Treat, The Fairfield Recorder (101 E. Commerce), Kindness From Case Memorial Foundation (129 S. Mount), Harmony Presbyterian Church’s Fall Festival, and Dessert By MommaCakes (105 S. Mount), all between 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Also, visit Jeneosity & Phluff (209 Keechi, Ste. 102) from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m., Calvary Baptist Church’s Fall Festival from 6:00-8:00 p.m., and The Jaded Spade (503 E. Commerce) from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m.

Thursday, October 31st

–First Annual Trunk or Treat, Costume Contest, and Pet Costume Contest, all at Freedom of Fairfield.

Stop by from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with your child, 12-years-old and younger, and/or pet, dressed in their Halloween costumes to enter. Pet entry photos may also be sent via text to 903-388-0720.

First, Second, and Third Places will receive a prize. Winner will be announced via Facebook on November 1st. Must pick up prize at Freedom Dodge, located at 350 E. I-45 Service Road in Fairfield. They may be reached by calling 903-644-9500.

–Teague Elementary School is having a Trunk or Treat from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Bring your students by the front parking lot of TES to collect some candy from local businesses, organizations, and families.

— Fairview Healthcare invites the community to their family friendly Truck or Treat beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the nursing home, located at 601 E. Reunion Street in Fairfield.

Bring your kids and their friends, dressed in their costumes, for candy, cocoa, and lots of fun!

–City of Teague’s door-to-door Trick or Treating will be from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m., as set by Teague Police Department.

–City of Fairfield’s door-to-door Trick or Treating.

–City of Wortham’s door-to-door Trick or Treating. Suggested time is 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
