Interested in helping victims of Hurricane Helene in North Carolina?
There is a local group of people working together to collect donations and they are asking for help.
Their goal is during the week of October 21st, to haul a 40-foot Conex Box to one of the Cajun Navy drop off locations in North Carolina.
On October 19-20th, the box will be available for drop offs.
Below is a list of items that are desperately needed, but all donations are welcome and appreciated, monetary included.
Drop off Locations (as of press time) include Resident – 226 CR 185 Streetman, Caney Baptist Church – 438 Fm 833W Streetman, First Methodist Church of Teague – 420 Walnut Teague, Johnson Air – 154 Oak St Fairfield, Capps Feed & Hardware – 512 US Hwy 84, Fairfield, and Good Neighbor Cleaners – 118 W Commerce St Fairfield.
Items needed are baby formula, diapers (baby/toddler/adult), all baby items, small kids toys, pads &tampons, blankets, heating sources, washcloths & towels, toothbrushes & toothpaste, band-aids, brushes & combs, paper cups & plates, plasticware, non-perishable foods, individually packaged snacks, water, disinfectant wipes, hand sanitizer, flashlights, toilet paper, batteries, gas cans, shovels, rakes, wheel barrels, extension cords, propane tanks, took kits, first aid kits, chainsaws, generators, camping supplies, dog & cat food, horse & cow feed, hay, and anything else you can think of that someone might need in this type of situation.
