Jonathan Hardin Chapter, NSDAR, Mexia, Texas, has recently distributed Patriots of the American Revolution Essay Contest packets for students in grades 9 – 12 to the six public high schools, two Christian academies, as well as homeschool groups in Limestone and Freestone counties.
The applicants must be students in Limestone or Freestone County for this local contest.
Packets were also delivered to the four public libraries in our area: Gibbs Library in Mexia; Fairfield Public Library; Groesbeck Public Library, and Teague Public Library.
This is a student-written essay from start to finish and will need to be submitted electronically on or before Friday, November 8, 2024.
Students in Grades 9 – 12 wanting to participate can pick up information from their high school counselor or their nearest public library.
The essay winner will be recognized at our February meeting. We welcome your participation!
