Running for the title of Miss Freestone County are two young ladies, one from Wortham and one from Teague.

Wortham High School’s Class of 2024 Valedictorian, Madison Newhouse will vie for the title against Teague High School’s incoming Senior, Gabriella Diaz.

Madison has received many academic, athletic, and community awards for her hard work. She plans to attend The University of Texas at Tyler to obtain a Bachelor’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders before entering a Master’s program in hopes of becoming a Pediatric Speech Pathologist.

Gabriella has also earned several athletic and academic awards during her high school career so far. She is currently enrolled in the Cosmetology Program at THS through Navarro College.

The pageant will be held on Tuesday evening, June 11th, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Fairfield High School Auditorium. Entry fee is $5 per person.

Also competing that evening will be the Teen Miss and Preteen Miss.

Contestants competing for Teen Miss include Brook-Lyn Ansley, Ava Oakes, Allison Grant, Cariss Capps, Naveah Coaster, and Gracie Brown.

Preteen Miss contestants are Haylee West, Brooke Fisk, Ayleah Duarte, Lillian Moore, Phoeby Portillo-Hanzelka, Alayjiah Stanford, and Ally Farmer.

Children’s Pageant

The Children’s Pageant will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024, in the FHS Auditorium.

This pageant will be divided into three sections.

Beginning at 9:00 a.m., the Infant Miss, Baby Miss, and Toddler Miss will compete.

–Infant Miss: Kallie Myers, Adeline Jo Perez, Annistyn Langley, Kaislyn Lelati, Makaiah Emmons, Brynn Baker, and Gracelynn Lascano

–Baby Miss: Burklee Smith, Lakelynn Zeidler, Indie Griffin-Wheeler, Wrenlee Collins, Everlee Duarte, Emerie Pohland, Memphis Randall, Gemma Fryer, and Raelynn Hughes.

–Toddler Miss: Everleigh Simpson, Lily Long, Koralynn Stark, Alice Cooper, Alyvia Gillian, Annistyn Hale, and Vivianna Villegas.

Next up, beginning at 10:00 a.m., will be the Tiny Miss, Mini Miss, and Little Miss.

–Tiny Miss: Ensley Diaz, Jolene Pickens, Diane McAlpine, Myla Wolf, Amzi Stewart, Ivisyn Dryer, Trintley Lenamond, and Delilah Phillips.

–Mini Miss: Kelsie West, Emory Collins, Laynee Allen, Mary Dewise Proulx, Abigail Ferguson, Emersyn Carver, and Selah Smith.

–Little Miss: Candace Presutti, Laney Lehman, Desiree Boney, and Isabell Perry.

And last, but not least, the Petite Miss, Young Miss, and Junior Miss will begin at 11:00 a.m.

–Petite Miss: Addison Querry, Weslyn German, Stanlee Jo Hamilton, Faith Williamson, and Jocelyn Haygood.

–Young Miss: Milli Solley, Madilynn Diaz, Meia Gilley, Abigail Phillips, Elizabeth Querry, Aubriella Stewart, and Oakleigh Stanford.

–Junior Miss: Gracie Franco, Bristol Brown, Avalynn Diaz, Harper Easter, Iralynn Dunn, and Kailey Merenda.

Entry to attend the Children’s Pageant is $5 per person, payable at the door.
