It’s official!

STARR Resiliency Agency of Fairfield celebrated an Open House and Ribbon Cutting on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.

Formed in 2016 by Octavia Reed, STARR Resiliency Agency is a foster home for children who have been removed from their home by DFPS (Texas Department of Family and Protective Services).

The facility provides a 12-bed home that operates 24/7. They accept children ages 5-17 years old.

Cutting the ribbon is Octavia Reed – CEO and Andrew Reed – CFO, along with Opal Oliver, Anita Malone, Karen Daniels, and Lashanda Marshall.

County Sheriff Jeremy Shipley was in attendance, as well as Fairfield ISD Superintendent Joe Craig, and volunteers Liz Thornton and Naomi White.

Representing Fairfield Chamber of Commerce included Mary Small of Accessories, Etc., Gail Farish of Creations Flowers & Gifts, Jessica Rieves of Freestone Area Go Texan Scholarship Committee, and Brenda Pate – Executive Director.
