Our lives have certainly changed in the last 2 months! We have two (2) new Beagles and they are a hand-full. One, Cherokee is very small. She was the runt of the litter but doesn’t know it. She can keep up with the best of them and especially her brother, Hawk. It takes the two of us to feed them as they become spastic at dinner time! They are cute, and very sweet. They also have sharp nails and loud voices!

The Colonel thought he couldn’t live with a Beagle as he has had Beagles for around 45 years.

Cherokee climbs the gate but doesn’t go over it thank you, Lord! Hawk is not a climber but he is jealous of his sister. We have worked out a feeding time and who gets what! We feed both of them at the same time and keep a watch that one doesn’t try to gobble down their food in order to get the food of the other one. All in all, they are good puppies.

It will be a great adventure to see how they progress…hopefully, we will survive it. They have gotten the cows in order. When the cows come up to the fence, they give it all they got to make them go away! Some of the cows are actually afraid of them but with both of the dogs barking at the top of their lungs, I can see why cows would hurry away.

The Red Oak Ranch will continue to march right along I am sure! Not so sure about the cows and the Beagles!!
