Last week, members of the FISD Education Foundation took to the school halls to hand out some big checks to Fairfield teachers.

This marks the ninth round of grant applications solicited by the organization.

This year, fifteen classrooms received nearly $25,000 in grants, thanks to community donations and fundraising efforts by Foundation members.

Fairfield Elementary

–Fast Finisher Fine Motor Activities – Kindergarten – $2,880.00

–Portable Gaga Pit – Rollins/Washington – $1,921.00

–Flexible Seating – Smith – $1,456.27

–Multipurpose Outdoor Learning Space – Zachry – $959.96

–Social Emotional Learning Library – Zachry – $705.62

Fairfield Intermediate

–Special Education Pen Readers – Hildebrand/Baxter – $1,500.00

–Deals on Wheels – McCallay – $780.00

Fairfield Junior High

–EAGLE Lounge – Romine – $1,400.00

–Outdoor Classroom Space – Silar – $5,000.00

–GameEd Library – Weitner/Cruce/White – $2,500.00

Fairfield High School

–H2O Eagles – Crawford – $1,557.60

–Grand Band from Eagleland “Eagle Eye” – Holland – $3,000.00

–Eagles Elevate English Energy Effectively – Maciel – $2,458.40
