It’s Homecoming Week at Wortham High School!
Bonfire will be on Wednesday, October 4th at dark (at the field next to the high school).
Here are the themes for the week:
–Wednesday – Anything But a Backpack
–Thursday – Twin/Dynamic Duo
–Friday – Bulldog Spirit!
Downtown Pep Rally will be held Friday, October 6th at 2:00 pm.
Note: Elementary students may not leave with a parent or be checked out at the Pep Rally. Parents may check their child out early at the school office before 1:00 p.m.
Homecoming football game will kickoff at 7:00 pm as the Wortham Bulldogs will take on the Hico Tigers.
The presentation of Mr. and Mrs. WHS and court presentations will be held during halftime.

Wortham Ex-Students have activities planned for Homecoming weekend, as well.
Business meeting will be held Saturday, October 7th in the Wortham Band Hall. Speaker will be Jacqueline Davis Collins (class of 1971).
Immediately following will be the Queen’s Coffee in the Culinary Arts Room. Event is hosted by Queen Lori Sutton Jones (class of 1982). All are welcome to enjoy refreshments and visit with old friends and family.
Then, on Saturday evening beginning at 6:00 p.m., join your fellow ex-students at The Old Gin for a No Host Dining and Bar. Bring your chairs and sit on the patio to enjoy live music by Frank Hasty and Da’Merge.
The 2023 Ex-Students Queen will be crowned at 8:00 p.m., and all former Queens will be recognized. The 2023 recipient of the Employee of Honor award will also be announced.
