Fairfield restaurant The Butcher’s Choice will be hosting a visit from America’s Best Restaurants (ABR) in early October 2023.
America’s Best Restaurants, a national media and marketing company focusing on bringing attention to local, independently-owned restaurants, will bring its ABR Roadshow to the restaurant on October 9th. Popular dishes will be highlighted, along with an extensive on-camera interview with owners Scooter and Nova Long about the restaurant’s special place in the community. The episode will be aired extensively on social media channels at a later date.
Part restaurant, part meat market, the Butcher’s Choice has been open for nearly three years. They seat about sixty in the spacious, earth-toned restaurant with numerous deer heads and other taxidermy on the walls.
The Longs occupy the space formerly known as Padrino’s Pizza, and while they know how to make pies in the wood oven that remains in the kitchen – often with adding smoked cheese or various meats they produce as toppings – it is beef that is the big draw. The restaurant sits right off the interstate between Dallas and Houston, and Scooter notes that customers drive from each big metropolitan area to dine.
The restaurant offers weekly features, with various pastas, sandwiches and salads rounding out the menu. Popular menu items that may be featured on the episode include the pasta alfredo topped with pieces of ribeye, citrus salmon, or the ribeye sandwich, which is on a brioche bun with mozzarella cheese.
America’s Best Restaurants will be filming on location on Monday October 9th from 2 pm to 5 pm CST. The restaurant’s finished episode premiere date will be announced on their Facebook page and will be featured on America’s Best Restaurants’ website at https://americasbestrestaurants.com/rests/texas/the-butchers-choice.
