The third annual McLennan County Harvest Celebration will be held Thursday, September 28th at the Crawford Community Center. The Crawford Community Center, 8542 E 4th St, Crawford, TX 76638 is in Tonkawa Falls Park adjacent to the Crawford Pirate Football Stadium. It will be an opportunity to visit with agriculture supporters as well as ag vendors, eat a steak meal and learn about Extension result demonstration work completed in McLennan County. Participants will also have an opportunity to take home great door prizes: coolers, BBQ pits, etc.

Our 2023 Harvest Celebration Speaker will be Dr. Rudy Tarpley, Professor and Graduate Program Coordinator, Tarleton State University. Dr. Tarpley received a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with a major in Agricultural and Extension Education from New Mexico State University in 1985. He received a Master of Science in Agricultural and Extension Education from Mississippi State University in 1991 and a Doctor of Philosophy in Education with a major in Agricultural Education and Experimental Statistics and a minor in Educational Technology from Mississippi State University in 1993. He has served on faculty at College of the Southwest, Texas Tech University, Eastern New Mexico University, Utah State University, and has served at Tarleton State University since 2010.

This program is hosted by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Row Crop Committee of McLennan County. Registration will begin at 4:30 pm and the program will be over at 8:30 pm. There will be two sessions, an educational session, and an entertainment session.
