MOVIE NIGHT – His Girl Friday

A newspaper editor uses every trick in the book to keep his ace reporter ex-wife from remarrying.  Starring Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell.

We will be serving popcorn and water, but feel free to bring your own snacks. There will be picnic table seating, but you can bring chairs and blankets to sit on.

 

LEAVE NO TRACE

Be a steward of the great outdoors and help protect it for future generations.

The Seven Principles of Leave no Trace will start you on that path.  Learn about the seven principles through activities and games.  We will follow it up with 1 mile hike.

 

CLASSIC GAMES – Backgammon

Let’s turn off the electronics and party like it’s the 1600s!  After a brief history of the game, Ranger Heather will teach you how to play backgammon.  The park has a few dominoes sets to loan out so feel free to bring your own.

 

Texas State Parks – CELEBRATING 100 YEARS!

Celebrate this milestone and the future at Fort Boggy State Park.  We will have various night activities including astronomy and light painting.

 

NIGHT SCIENCE – NIGHT SIGHT

Date:  Saturday, September 30, 2023

Time:  8:00p.m. – 9:00p.m.

Audience:  Everyone

Meet at: The Pavilion

How well do you see at night?  We will test your night vision to see.  Visitors will be preforming sight experiments to measure how well we can see in the dark.

 

Programs are free with paid park entrance or Texas State Park Pass.  Entry is FREE for children 12 and younger; 13 and older is $3.00 per person.
