A message from SOVFD Fire Chief Van Wagnon:
SOVFD will be providing a “Cooling Station” at our location for anyone who needs to cool off in this unseasonably hot weather. It will run from 1 pm to 5 pm – Monday thru Friday for at least the next week.
If there is a good response and the high temperatures continue, it can be extended.
There are a few cots and pillows so people can rest. Free drinks and snacks will be provided.
People may bring VCR tapes or DVD’s to watch movies.
Members of the CCC are helping to accommodate anyone wishing to use the facility. Please provide this information to anyone you may know who may wish to take this opportunity to find a respite from the heat.
