Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, McLennan County along with multiple county extension committees will host the West Side Turn Row Meeting on Thursday, June 15th. The meeting will be held off Farmview Parkway in Crawford, Texas.
Directions are as follows:
From Hwy. 84/Farmview Parkway Intersection (West of McGregor) drive 5 miles North on Farmview Parkway to the Windmill tower (by Old Spring Road/Farmview Parkway Intersection).
Dr. Ronnie Schnell, Extension State Cropping Systems Specialist, will be providing an update on the Growing Season Crop Update. Mr. Tyler Mays, Hill/McLennan County IPM Agent will discuss the Crop Scouting Report on crops pertaining to Insect and Disease. Mr. Mark Welch, Extension Ag Economist, will speak on Ag Commodity Market Updates. Afterwards, there will be a McLennan County Result Demonstration on Cotton Root Rot and Emergency on Old Spring Road followed by viewing the Corn and Grain Sorghum Plots as we wrap up the meeting.
There is no cost to attend, and registration begins at 8:00 a.m. and will wrap up around Noon. This program offers 2 TDA CEUs – 1 IPM & 1 General and 2.5 Certified Crop Advisor Credits. Breakfast will be provided during the meeting.
