A Pinning Ceremony for the graduates of Wortham High School’s EMT Academy was held on Tuesday, May 2, 2023.
Students have completed courses in Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Terminology, Pharmacology, Disaster Response and Emergency Medical Services.
Clinical internships were done with Fairfield EMS, Mexia Fire Department, Corsicana EMS, Limestone EMS, and Parkview ER.
Students have tested and earned certification through NREMT (National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians) and Texas Department of State Health Services.
This year’s EMT graduates include:
–Seniors – Preston Batts, Briana La’Nae Betts, Dana Calame, RaShay Covey, Jason Charles Evans, Cody Lee Jones, Grecia Sarahi Juarez, Michelle Misini, and Martina Petrova.
–Juniors – Novalee Marie Bennett, M’Kiah Renae Evans, and James Alan Rissmiller.
These students will graduate High School with the training and certification enabling them to begin employment and exciting careers.
