Four local health care organizations will sponsor their monthly free lunch for all area Veterans on Thursday, 16 March.
The lunch will be at noon at the VVA/DAV Hall on Gardner Drive in Palestine. The Hall is located at 927 Gardner Drive, behind Mattern Tire Co. on SH-155 North.
These organizations have been providing a great free meal monthly since the pre-COVID days. They are Heart to Heart Hospice, TruCare Living Center, Brookdale Senior Living, and Enhabit Home Health Care.
The event will include a presentation by Jessie Lee from W&L Solutions. He will be discussing home selling and downsizing; or going into Assisted Living or Skilled Nursing.
These are issues applicable that are applicable to everyone, not just Veterans.
The monthly lunches are hosted by the VVA/AVVA and the DAV Chapters in Palestine. All area Veterans, Veteran’s families and friends, or anyone interested in Veteran health care issues are welcome to attend.
