From Trail Markers to Hide and Seek

Meet at:  The Pavilion

Ranger Heather will show you how Native Americans used trees as trail markers.  After a short presentation, learn what other natural resources can be used as trail markers.  The end of the program will be a fun game of stuffed animal hide and seek.

Star Party

Meet at:  Lake Sullivan near fishing pier

We will have a couple of telescopes set up to view the Pleiades star cluster and Mars.  Bring a chair or blanket to comfortably enjoy the night sky.  Feel free to bring binoculars and/or your own telescope.

The Elf Scavenger Hunt
Date:  Saturday, December 17, 2022
Time:  8:00a.m. – 4:30p.m.
Audience:  Everyone

The elves have left the shelves and are at Fort Boggy enjoying the outdoors.  Take a walk on the Lake Sullivan trail (approximately 1 mile) and see how many you can spot.  The first 10 people to find all 10 elves will receive a prize from the park office.

Fort Boggy State Park is a 1,847 acres state park located in Leon County, Texas between Leona and Centerville. The park was donated to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department in 1985 by Eileen Crain Sullivan to be developed as a state park.
