Kathy Jo Arrington, 78 of Fairfield, joyfully danced into Heaven early Sunday morning, October 16, 2022, in Tyler. She was born November 22, 1943, in Corsicana to Clayton and Katherine Kent. She was a member of DAR and Texas Retired Teacher Association, having taught for over 30 years.
Kathy was a good Christian, a good wife and a good somebody. She was fun, outgoing, and compassionate soul who loved flowers and animals, especially horses and dogs. Kathy loved to collect many forms of art and antiques, loved to shop and had the gift of decorating like no one else. She loved her family, loved children and most of all she loved Jesus.
She is preceded in death by her parents. Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Michal Arrington; daughter and son in law, Maggie and Jerry Bonds; grandchildren, River and Rainy Bonds to whom she loved being their Gmaw. She also leaves behind extended Arrington, Kent and Harris family as well as dear friends of whom became family, all of whom she loved deeply.
Memorial service will be 2:00 pm Thursday, October 20, 2022, at First United Methodist Church in Fairfield. Honorary Pallbearers will be Beverly Awalt, Sherry Arrington, Maggie Bonds, Deborah Gibson, Susan Fitzgerald, Cindy Sharp, Marisol Jaueregui and Norma Novack.
