Freestone, Limestone, Leon and Anderson Counties are offering 3 CEU hours at the Quad County Hay show and Educational Program October 25th at Teague Community Center.

If anyone wishes to get hay samples tested those samples are due to the Extension Offices by September 30th cost is $5 per sample.

For attendance to the Educational program please RSVP by October 20th for meal planning purposes.

Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. Program begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 12:30 p.m.

Registration fee is $20 and includes breakfast and lunch.

Program topics include:

–Dealing with high Fertilizer Costs in Forages & Winter Pasture options: Presented by: Dr. Vanessa Corriher-Olson, Professor and Extension Forage Specialist (1 CEU)

–Sprayer Calibration and Eliminating Drift: Darrell Rozell, Rozell Sprayers (1 CEU)

–Weed ID and eliminating unwanted grass from Hay: Presented by: Dr. Vanessa Corriher-Olson, Associate Professor and Extension Forage Specialist (1 CEU)

Hay Test results and awards will follow.
