Last week the FCSO was able to acquire a few safety items for our Patrol Deputies thanks to Texas Association of Counties (TAC). TAC works very closely with Freestone County and we very much appreciate the relationship we have with them and their assistance throughout each year.
These items, we specifically selected, are provided to our office, to our Deputies, at no further cost to our budget and provides a little more safety and protection while we are out on the roadways.
Each Patrol Deputy will be equipped with protective cut resistant gloves, a highly visible safety vest, a raincoat, at least 3 highly visible traffic cones, caution tape, and a fire extinguisher, thanks to the funds provided by our partners at TAC.
Our law enforcement face many dangers minute by minute as they perform their duties of serving and protecting. Being on the side of the road, whether it be day or night, is a very dangerous place to be. We appreciate being provided highly visible safety equipment for our Deputies as an added protection when necessary; and at no added or extra expense to our citizens.
