It’s unfortunate that we must announce that our jewel of a museum has fallen victim to a theft. What a wonderful museum we have here in Fairfield. One that many, many folks have been involved in and many folks shared historical family items and memories with the museum that helped create our county where it is today.
These items mean a great deal to our museum and to the families. They mean a great deal to our history.
Whoever you are…for whatever reason you did it…do the right thing by returning the items back to the museum.
“Whoever took Aunt Rosie’s teeth and metal pill box (at right) from our Littlejohn House collection, please return them. No questions asked,” said Patricia Pratt, curator of Freestone County Historical Museum.
