Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, McLennan County along with multiple county extension committees will host the 5th Annual Central Texas Vines and Wines program on Tuesday, May 24th at the East of West Vineyard, located at 536 Cervenka Road in West, Texas.

The Justin Mechell family will be hosting and focusing on vineyard establishment.

Michael Cook, Extension Viticulturist will speak on Balancing the See Saw, Grape Production Matching Grape Quality.

Justin Mechell and Fran Pontasch, Extension Viticulturist will speak on Planting Vines and Early Vine Management.

Fran will also speak on The Importance of Early Training and Pruning of Vines, and Joey Bagnasco, owner of Valley Mills Vineyard, will lead a tasting and discussion on The Five Types of Wines, A Difference in Taste.

A breakfast and a steak lunch will be provided during the program.

The registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. and consist of a $35 registration fee. 1 IPM TDA CEU will be provided.
