A local Fairfield church will be offering a host of events and activities this Saturday, April 16th, as they hold their annual Resurrection Celebration event.
Calvary Baptist Church has activities planned inside and out from 11:30 am to 2 pm and every member of the family will find something to enjoy. For the fourth year, church members will be providing a community-wide free catfish dinner with all the trimmings. Past events have been a tremendous success with more than 400 people each year being served the fried catfish meal. Plenty of tables will be provided for everyone to enjoy a sit-down meal and fellowship with old friends and make new acquaintances.
Children will have numerous games and crafts to participate in and each child will receive a free coloring book and crayons. Free snow cones will also be available this year.
Many of the church’s well-known bakers will be providing cakes, cookies and other desserts for those attending. Members of the Calvary staff and congregation will be available throughout the day to share information about the many ministries offered by the local church. From infants to senior adults, Calvary has a place for you to feel ‘at home.’
“This is a tremendously enjoyable event for our Calvary family,” church staff stated. “As we celebrate and remember the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ next Sunday, we look forward to Saturday when we can spend a few moments with others from our community. Regardless of your church affiliation, we welcome everyone to join us for a great time of fellowship and blessings.”
Calvary is located at 220 East Main in Fairfield. For more information, contact the church office at 903.389.2613.
