Dear Editor,
If only the U.S. Congress, temporarily held hostage by the socialist left, would read and consider the distilled truth in these words by the late Dr. Adrian Rogers, we would be better off. However, since they seem impervious to reason, let us look again at the wisdom he shared.
“You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work without receiving. The government cannot give anything to one person that it does not take from somebody else.
When half of the people get the idea that they don’t have to work because the other half will take care of them, and the working half sees that it does no good to work hard because someone else will get what they work for, it’s close to the end of a nation. FACT: You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.” Such policy results merely in shared misery [see Cuba, Venezuela, N. Korea.] Such is the stated policy of the Democratic party. Stop them cold in November!
God bless America!
