Applications are due no later than Friday, 1 April for the scholarship(s) to be awarded by the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) Chapter 991.
A minimum of one scholarship worth $1,000 will be awarded to a graduating Senior from a high school in Anderson, Cherokee, Henderson, Houston, Freestone, Limestone or Leon Counties.
The primary award qualifying criterion is that the awardee has to be a direct member of the family of a Vietnam War Veteran or Vietnam War Era Veteran. The sponsoring Veteran must be living in, or, if deceased, was living in these counties while alive.
The scholarship will be awarded for the Fall 2022 academic semester for study in a four-year college or university, community or junior college, or technical school.
