An Order of Election for May 7th was approved by Fairfield ISD Board of Trustees during the Tuesday, February 15, 2022 school board meeting.
Joint Election Agreements between Freestone and Navarro Counties were also approved.
On the ballot in May will be three At-Large Places, as well as an $8 million Bond Election to include the following:
–ten buses;
–LED lighting across the district;
–HVAC replacements at FJH and FHS;
–New HVAC system at FES; and
–Roof repairs at FHS.
Transportation software for our buses was approved. The software will allow for GPS tracking of the bus, student pick up and drop off information, route services and directions, notifications for parents, and ridership data.
The board selected E3 to assist with the FES HVAC replacement and LED lighting project for the district.
The board approved the project development agreement with E3 to begin the development phase for the FES HVAC system replacement.
The 2022-2023 FISD school calendar was approved. Confirmation is pending from Navarro College on the spring break dates.
First day of school will be August 10, 2022. Last day of school will be May 24, 2023.
The Reading Academy stipend for teachers required to participate has been updated and approved to $1,000 after completion.
Enrollment is at 1670 and attendance has been improving over the last several weeks.
The March board meeting is being changed to Tuesday, March 8th to avoid conflict with spring break.
