Freestone County school districts and Cities will be holding elections on May 7, 2022 and candidates have just over a week to get their name on the ballot.

Candidate filing period for both entities will remain open through Friday, February 18th, 2022.

When Freestone County Times made calls on Monday afternoon, Streetman Mayor Jerry Robinson speculated that incumbents would probably sign up later that evening, following their regular meeting.

Streetman Council

2 Commissioners at Large: none to date

Fairfield ISD Board
3 Places At Large: Penny Meredith, Greg Gipson (incumbent), Cody Roller, and Kim Whitaker (incumbent)

Teague ISD Board
2 Places At Large: Brian Bowers (incumbent) and Jeff Gonzales (incumbent)

Wortham ISD Board
Place 3: none to date
Place 4: none to date
