Leading citizens, elected County officials, Fairfield ISD officials, and the media were invited to a special luncheon Thursday, January 27, 2022 to meet Republican Congressman Jake Ellzey.
Ellzey currently serves as representative of Texas’s 6th Congressional District, having taken his oath of office on July 30, 2021.
With redistricting, the boundaries of the U.S. 6th Congressional District include north and eastern portions of Freestone County.
The U.S. 12th Congressional District, with incumbent Pete Sessions, includes south and western portions of the County.

Congressman Ellzey was introduced by a good friend, Texas State Representative Cody Harris.
“This community is the heart of our nation,” said Ellzey, stating that his district is 80% rural.
His focus in serving his constituents is to “secure our borders, protect our liberties, and put a stop to liberal big government overreach.
