Dear All,
Mayor Hughes has cancelled the council meeting for Tuesday, January 11. The council will meet on Tuesday, January 25. The mayor cancelled the meeting after talking with me about our current staffing situation.
Due to an increase in COVID-related and non-COVID related illnesses in the City of Fairfield organization, healthier staff members are having to pitch in and cover essential services, such as utility payments. We have provided those services and will continue to do so. However, there’s not enough time to get all the items ready for the council meeting and meeting packet.
We are slowly getting back to full strength within the organization, and we will hopefully be back to full strength by next week.
