The Christmas Tree Farm, part of Funny Farm Trees, west of Fairfield closed Sunday afternoon for 2021. Over the past two weekends a large number of families of all ages visited the tree farm and most carried home a Virginia Pine, Christmas tree. In addition to looking for the “perfect tree”, there was a hay ride, hot chocolate, a fire pit on the days it was cool and candy canes for the kids. An awesome Christmas holiday experience was had by all.
Donations were awesome!! $1,550.00 was donated to Faith Academy Christian School and there was more than triple the food items donated for the Community Food Bank than in 2020.
THANK YOU TO ALL WHO VISITED THE FUNNY FARM THE PAST TWO WEEKENDS AND FOR YOUR GENEROUS DONATIONS!!
The past 2 weekends, LOTS of Christmas trees left the Funny Farm to spend the holidays with their new families. Visitors came from near and far, Fairfield, Wortham, Teague, Streetman, Mexia, Buffalo, Corsicana, Dew, Palestine, Hubbard, Waco, Fredericksburg, Trinidad, Kemp
…..
ALSO, THANK YOU TO ALL OUR VOLUNTEERS WHO CAME TO HELP THE PAST TWO WEEKS. All of our volunteers came from Fairfield First United Methodist Church, Upper Room Sunday School Class and Faith Academy Christian School in Fairfield, students and parents. We could not have had such a successful year without their help.
