Patricia Ann Putnam Allen, 79 of Streetman, Texas passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at her home.
Patricia Allen was born on June 29, 1941 in Parchman, Mississippi to Milton and Donie Putnam. She graduated from Forest Hill High in Jackson, Mississippi in 1959. Four years later, by fate, she bumped into Larry J. Allen, in Carthage, Mississippi. They married on March 16, 1962 and were married 52 years, before his passing in 2014.
She was a devoted military wife, and mother, holding down the homefront, during Larry’s tours of duty overseas. She enjoyed being a military wife. One of her many loves, were plants. She worked for Ellis Pottery, in Beaumont, Texas for 11 years, before moving to Streetman, where they have lived since 1998. Most well-known for decades, in the Allen family, as “Cheddar Biscuit Queen”.
She is survived by her mother-in-law, Geraldine Skaggs Allen, her children, Joseph and wife, DuAnne of Fairfield, Dean Allen of Wortham, Donna Allen of Streetman; four grandchildren, Suzanne Allen and partner Victor Padilla of Burleson, Josh and wife Lindsey Allen of Streetman, Ashley Allen Frank and husband Greg of Beaumont, Shaun Allen and partner Jessica Cheatham of Sherman; also 10 great grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 6-8pm at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 11:00am Friday, April 30, 2021 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. Elmo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roman Osborne, Marty Strader, Matt Strader, Rob Stokes, Josh Allen, Shaun Allen. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jimmy Rhodes, Steve Allen, Jimmy Allen, Tony Allen and Tom Allen.
