During National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, we would like to remind the community that Texas A&M Health provides free colonoscopies for uninsured or underinsured low-income individuals, age 45 and older, who live in a 17-county region with funds from the Cancer Prevention & Research Institute of Texas. All recommended COVID-related procedures have been put into place to ensure the safety of patients and clinical staff.

Individuals also have the ability to request a free at-home fecal test.

Colorectal cancer is highly treatable when caught early (remove a polyp), but mortality increases significantly as diagnosis is delayed.
