Schools Close for the Week, Open Monday

The Winter Storm, that seems to have hit the entire State of Texas, has prompted Freestone County schools for the week.

These will be treated as “Snow Days.” There will be no remote learning.

Dew, Fairfield, Teague and Wortham have plans to resume classes on Monday, February 22, 2021.

There have been reports on social media that a fire broke out at Dew school, that was limited to the library.

According to the Dew ISD page on Facebook, this will not interfere with classes resuming on Monday.

They sent out a “thank you” to Dew, Fairfield and Teague Volunteer Fire Departments for responding.
