Freestone County Sheriff Jeremy Shipley released the following on Social Media last week, reminding us that the Freestone County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) is always hard at work.
On Saturday, January 2, 2021, FCSO Deputies Darby and Vestal conducted a traffic stop on FM 27 coming for a traffic violation.
A vehicle search was conducted during the traffic stop and the deputies recovered approximately 42 grams of crack cocaine and approximately 8 grams of powder cocaine; As well as $3,310 of drug money.
The driver of the vehicle, 37-year-old Andre Riguel Pate (pictured above), was arrested for man/del of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 more than 4 grams less than 200 grams (first degree felony) and resisting arrest.
We just so happen to love housing drug dealers at the FCSO.
We provide an iron bed with a green mat, 3 meals a day, a minimum of 3 hours outside a week, a smorgasbord of new friends to be cell mates with for interesting conversations, all surrounded by cold concrete floors, walls, and ceiling.
We do our very best to make it a great destination for subjects not wanting to obey the law to work towards. Everyone needs a dream.
I guess you could say we assist them in living out theirs.
Good work men.
