Lights, presents, singing and worship are right around the corner because Christmas is just a month away!
The first week of December is packed full of activities all around Freestone County, so get ready to have tons of fun.

FAIRFIELD Chamber of Commerce will have their Sip, Snack and Shop from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Visit the various locations in Fairfield, have a sip and a snack, and enter into drawings for door prizes.
Locations are: Brenda’s Closet, TSAC at the Williford Foundation, Kennedy’s Korner, Thee Juice Aid, Accessories, Etc., Armadillo Emporium, Tallulah Rey, Creation’s Flowers and Gifts, and Pack N Mail.
Christmas in TEAGUE will be booming with many things to do this year.
Teague First United Methodist Church will be having Project: Christmas Kids from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Teague Community Center.
The Hamburger Supper will be carry-out only and $7.00 per plate.
Starting at 6:00 p.m. will be the Teague Chamber of Commerce Parade of Lights, and Santa himself will be at the Community Center at 6:30 p.m.
Lighting of the BTW Park will be at 7:00 p.m. along with caroling, a movie, and even Santa Claus pictures!
Festivities in WORTHAM will start at 6:00 p.m. at the Fire Station for their 80th anniversary open house Chili Supper. The supper is a complimentary meal.
The Fire Department will be showcasing their new station and other upgrades for citizens in the Tri-County area they serve.
Santa will also be visiting with the kiddos in Wortham starting at 6:00 p.m., conveniently in the Fire Station.
There will be pictures, treats and hot chocolate, along with a bounce house and other children’s activities.

Freestone Faith Academy of FAIRFIELD will be having their first annual Merry Market in their parking lot across from First Baptist Church of Fairfield.
Starting at 10:00 a.m. and continuing through 4:00 p.m. they will have Christmas festivities, food, games, music and shopping.
The City of Fairfield and the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce present ‘A Celebration of Peace, Hope, Love & Joy’ on the courthouse square.
Trinity Star Arts Council will host a Winter Wonderland from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Do not miss the annual reading of the Christmas Story by Bettye Trask at 5:00 p.m.
Between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. there will be Arts and Crafts stations, and Santa will be hanging out having his picture taken from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The Fairfield ISD Choir will perform from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m. and the Tree Lighting at 6:00 p.m.
The River of Life Nativity Drama will be at 6:30 p.m. and again at 7:30 p.m.

The First Annual TEAGUE Chamber of Commerce Bake Off with turn in’s due from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with judging at 1:00 p.m.
There will be cakes, cookies, pies, miscellaneous dessert, and fourteen and under cupcakes, best decorated cake and best decorated cookies categories pretty much to make sure everyone drools.
Teague will be having their annual 8th Ave Park lighting at 7:00 p.m., complete with caroling, crafts and more!
Pancakes with Santa will be at the First Baptist Church WORTHAM CLC from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
It is a $5 dollar entry at the door for pancakes, sausage, juice, coffee and hot cocoa. Not to mention selfies with Santa!
Baked goods will be for sale with all proceeds benefitting the Wortham ISD Project Graduation.
