Addie (Jean) Haydon, 86, of the Young Community in Freestone County passed away Sunday, August 9, 2020 in Palestine. There is no visitation scheduled. Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 14, 2020 at Capps Memorial Chapel with Rev. Terry Skinner officiating. Interment will follow at Rehoboth Cemetery.

Mrs. Haydon was born December 1, 1933 near Oakwood to parents Robert and Mary Lou Owens Holloway. She was a lifetime Freestone County resident and a long-time member of Round Prairie Baptist Church. After marriage to her husband Bill she became a lifetime resident of the Young Community area. Jean was known for her love of fishing and embroidery. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Bill; a son, Randy Haydon; a sister, Mary E. Campbell and two brothers, Bobby D. Holloway and Joe Mark Holloway.

Left to cherish her memory are two children, Billy Bob Haydon and wife Lydia of Palestine; Janet Chappell and husband Gary of Fairfield; nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; a special sister, Neta Eldridge of Palestine.
